In the middle of the northern main road link of Crete , 22 km from Rethymno and 55 km from Heraclion, lies Panormo, a small traditional village, which flourished in the end of 19th century, as its port was the export centre for the agricultural products of the area to Western Europe.

The presence in Panormo of the 5th century Early Christian wooden roof basilica, probably dedicated to Agia Sofia (God's wisdom), denotes that in the Early Christian years a centre of Christian worship was located there.

When the fort of Mylopotamos was constructed by Pescatore, the houses of Panormo which still existed, made up the reinforced wall of the fortress and since then the old name of the town was replaced by Kastelli (castle) and this name was kept until the beginning of the 20th century. The fortress was egg-shaped with seven towers and two gates. During the raid by Arch-pirate Barbarossa in 1538, it suffered extensive damages.

Panormo is a village which lately has become the centre of a blooming tourist industry and every year it accommodates tourists from many different countries of the world. Panormo is a mere 25 minute drive from Rethymno and the main road of access to Panormo is the Rethymno to Heraclion national road.

Panormo offers 4 fantastic beaches. The hotel units which are based there have helped in getting the 3 beaches organized and these beaches have become the most popular. In the organized beaches there are deck chairs and umbrellas for rental, as well as a tavern. Also there are sea sports facilities.

All our rooms feature air conditioning, heating, iron & ironing board, hair dryer, safe, Internet access (ADSL1024), satellite TV, contact grill, toaster, electric water kettle and water boiling kettle, and filter coffee machine.

Also in our rooms there is a daily towel replacement service and general cleaning every two days, while sheets are replaced every four days.

In the entire complex an HACCP type health plan is applied.
